Yacht Stary ends its voyage

On Sunday, 9 August 2015, the Passenger Wharf officially welcomed Yacht Stary. The Narvik Expedition 2015 officially came to an end. Krzysztof Soska, Deputy Mayor of Szczecin and the residents of the City, welcomed the sailors by singing "Sto lat” ("Many happy returns"). There were also many toasts and congratulations. Open-air cinema opens at Arkonka

On Friday evening Arkonka is going to take you to the world of Avatar. At 9.30 pm this Pool & Recreation Complex will open its open-air cinema for the first time. Two weeks later, on 28 August, you will be able to see another, a bit older, blockbuster - City of Angels. On Friday, the Complex will have its regular opening hours, 10.00 am - 8.00 pm. The official results of The Tall Ships Races 2015 are announced in Aalborg, Denmark. Having won two prestigious awards, the crew of Fryderyk Chopin feels great pride. This year’s regatta took place along the route Belfast - Alesund - Kristiansand – Aalborg. Following the competition on the sea, the ships reached Aalborg for the grand finale of the TSR 2015. It was in Denmark that the sailors aboard Fryderyk Chopin proved that not only did they know the ropes but were also open, helpful and likeable.
