The masterpieces of Szczecin's organ music
On 18 December 2015 (Friday) in the Cathedral Basilica of St. James the Apostle in Szczecin a unique concert will take place. The audience will have an opportunity to hear the world-class organ player, Rostislaw Wygranienko. During the concert, which will start on 7 p.m., enthusiasts of organ music will be able to hear pieces composed by, among others, Marek Jasiński, Carl Loewe, Zbigniew Kozub, Theophil Andreas Volckmar and Paul Lutkemann. Admission is free.
The Philharmonics awarded Place of the year 2015!

The Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonics in Szczecin has received another award. This time it was acclaimed "Place of the year 2015" in the "Nocne Marki (Night Owls)" voting organised by the Aktivist magazine. In the "Nocne Marki" voting the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonics competed, among others, with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre. Thanks to the Internet votes, the "Place of the year 2015" was awarded to Szczecin's "iceberg".
The 5th Citizens' Gala

The fifth anniversary edition of the Szczecin Citizens' Gala The Citizens' Gala is a unique event – an opportunity to express gratitude to the many people involved in social work. The event is associated with the International Volunteer Day. It is also preceded by the so-called activity day. Children's books will serve as entry tickets to the event, later to be donated to a selected non-governmental organisation from Szczecin. This year it was the Westpomeranian Hospice for Children and Adults.
