The skating rink in Arkonka is now open!

The rink with a size of 40 x 26 metres can hold over 100 people. During the operation of the skating rink the ticket office will be moved to the building which will house the skates rental point, dressing rooms and toilets. The entrance doors accessible in the summer season will be closed. The complex can be reached through the gate near the car park. The cost of parking for one hour is 1 zloty. The Nach Osten exhibition by Alicja Kwadein the Trafo Center For Contemporary Art

This is the third large exhibition in the Trafo Center this year, following the presentations of the works by Nicola Samori and Gilad Ratman. The exhibition holds a special place in the biography of Alicja Kwade as an artist – it is the first monograph of her works in Poland presented in an arts institution. Furthermore, it includes works which have not been exhibited before, created at the beginning of her artistic career. The exhibition will be open until 28 February 2016.  

The December 1970 Memory Trail

In order to commemorate the tragic events which took place in the streets of Szczecin in December 1970, the Szczecin City Commune has created the December 1970 trail. The idea of commemorating the workers' protests which happened 45 years ago was initiated by a group of historians and history enthusiasts (Andrzej Kotula, Eryk Krasucki, Radosław Ptaszyński and Agata Rokicka). "Dizajn ze sznurka (String design)” in Kasprowicz's Park

A unique structure named "Dizajn ze sznurka" has appeared in Szczecin. This extraordinary installation is for learning cross-stitch and macro-scale sewing. The installation is part of the competition "Bound with the city" organised by the Aviva Foundation. The competition was held this summer among 13 cities. Szczecin was one of the five cities with the largest number of Internet votes. Using this unique installation is great fun, which also over time develops manual skills and creativity and also serves the purpose of activating the local community
